Milk + Honey & Wild Buffalo Present:
The guy behind the name ‘GANZ’ is Jordy Saämena. Hailing from the Netherlands, this Producer/DJ extraordinaire quickly developed a deep love for hip hop and electronica at a young age. After his critically acclaimed debut “Purple Cwtch E.P.” dropped on the Terrorhythm label in 2013, GANZ has been on somewhat of a global takeover mission. He released a slurry of his trademark “Flips” of other people’s tracks, remixing acts such as What so not ,Flume x Hermitude, A-trak, Snakehips, Alison Wonderlandand f.i. Crystal fighters and others which skyrocketed him into the global bass music stratosphere. Soon after, Jordy felt the time was right to start putting together some original music, releasing his “Dino War EP” in April 2015. Support for his records have come in from the likes of A-trak , Mr Carmack, Gilles Peterson, Eclair Fifi, Slugabed, Flume, Djemba Djemba, What So Not, Lido, Disclosure, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke and many many more.
GANZ is stubborn and hard-headed – in a positive way – getting him to where he is at the moment. Being so determined also helped him decide to launch his own label aptly called – “The Hard Headed”.
GANZ is always on the lookout to sign new talents who share the same vision as he has – “The hard-headed grind harder.” Besides producing and being a label owner, GANZ is touring all over the world with his DJ and Livesets.
GANZ started 2016 with a bang, GANZ by releasing “GAOBEAR” the first single and video of his forthcoming “GAO” EP at February 5th on The Hard Headed. GAOBEAR a brutal electronic hiphop banger.
After this GANZ released a huge collab with “What So Not” called “Lone” with a featuring of Australian upcoming talent “JOY”. Lone was release via OWSLA, Sweat it out and GANZ’s imprint “The Hard Headed. This succesfull single was followed up by GANZ his “GAO” ep which got support from the major blogs.
GANZ started 2017 with a bang, releasing his cross-over single “Whatever You Choose”, which is played on BBC Radio 1 and Triple J. With this single being a strong start of 2017, forthcoming releases are locked in already. Of which one is the official remix of Wilkinson’s “We Will Be” which will be released via Virgin at the end of April.
GANZ, the future of bass, electronic and hip hop music is as Hard Headed as they come – and thankfully so.
