YOGOMAN’s Deep Southern Sendoff! – Join YOGOMAN & His Burning Band, Wild Buffalo and the Bellingham community
for their first annual send off to YOGOMAN’s new Southern home in deep East Texas bayou country at the crossroads of New Orleans, Austin, Memphis, Nashville and many other Southern musical territories. Summer Sendoff will feature material from Jordan Rain/Yogoman’s 7 album career discography penned primarily in Bellingham. Yogoman Burning Band’s first performance was New Year’s of 2005 at Boundary Bay Brewery and it’s been a wild ride ever since. Through diverse line ups employing the best musicians in the Pacific Northwest, to their national touring schedule at venues, festivals, schools, city concerts, weddings and parties, YOGOMAN consistently evolves using unorthodox arrangements and instrumentation for the genres of music they play – Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, RnB, Soul, Funk, African and New Orleans Jazz. Jordan Rain/Yogoman was raised in Seattle and came into the music scene through the underground/all-ages music of the early 90’s. After Seattle’s computer and grunge boom that brought many transplants to the Emerald City from all over the world, Rain sought a more laid back/small town community element he saw happening Bellingham, where he had made great friends that travelled to his house shows in Seattle. After 23 years in Bellingham and many tours to New Orleans via East Texas, YOGOMAN is ready for a change and submersion into the great musical hotbeds of the South. However, one thing is certain, after living in Bellingham half of his life, there’s not much that could keep Rain from being up here to visit friends, family, work and enjoy this uniquely beautiful city this time of year. The Wild Buffalo and YOGOMAN will be looking to hold this event annually towards the end of Summer. Thank you for celebrating YOGOMAN’s career as a renowned dance band from the North to the South of the USA! See you on the dance floor.
